Partial-Day Programs
Going out of your comfort zone doesn’t have to take all day. Join us for a morning, afternoon or evening of 100 Elk activities.
The 100 Elk Outdoor Center offers partial-day programs as an option for local schools and groups interested in outdoor, experiential education.
Our activities provide opportunities for developing a connection with nature, team building and learning to make authentic choices. You can schedule activities in the morning, afternoon or evening.
Who Is This For?
Partial-day programs usually work best for groups that fit the following description:
- Small groups of 10 to 30 participants within a one- to two-hour drive of 100 Elk
- Schools or groups interested in outdoor experiential education
- Students in elementary school through college (open to adult groups as well)
Depending upon the size of the group and type of activity, groups can typically participate in one to two activities in the 3.5-hour block. If your group is larger than 30 participants, then we recommend doing a single-day or multi-day program.
What’s Included?
All programs include the following:
- Trained 100 Elk instructors
- Safety briefing and instructions
- 1-2 activities facilitated in morning, afternoon or evening
- Equipment
- Snacks
- Guided debrief
Which Activities?
Currently, our most popular partial-day program is the rock gym, which includes a belay-certified instructor, climbing gear, safety instruction, warm-up bouldering activities and time for free climbing on top ropes and auto-belays.
Other partial-day options include choosing one or two of the following activities: archery, canoeing, ecology hikes, Giant’s Ladder and Leap of Faith, high ropes course, low ropes course and riding lessons. To see our full offering of activities, visit the Activities page.
