100 Elk clients from Boulder to Santa Fe have raved for years about the delicious meals provided by our executive chef and team. Whether you’re bringing a small or large group, dedication to both quality and thoughtful sourcing lead to an exceptional dining experience, and many credit this as one of the reasons they return to 100 Elk again and again.
Our cooks regularly use locally grown foods when available and cheerfully cater to special dietary needs. All breakfasts include a fruit and yogurt bar, and all lunches and dinners include a full salad bar. At each meal, you’ll also have access to hot and cold beverages, including fresh coffee, teas, hot cocoa, hot cider, fruit juices, milk and nut/soy milk options. Meals are typically provided in Valerie Lodge, which comfortably seats 150+ in the dining area. If your group is larger, please contact us for larger group-dining possibilities.
Sample Menus
Here’s a sampling of our most popular menu options for each meal type. We have much more to select from and are happy to work with you to best meet your group’s specific needs.
Breakfast
All breakfasts include fruit, house-made granola, enhanced yogurt, as well as hot and cold cereals
- Waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon and fresh fruit
- Pancakes served with bacon and spinach, mushroom and cheese omelettes
- Egg and cheese frittata, seasoned potatoes, pork sausage links and kale and vegetable sauté
- Signature house-made cinnamon rolls, house-made Danish and vegetable quiche in a flaky puff pastry crust
- Breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs, onion, black beans, and peppers served with seasoned potatoes
- Southern-style biscuits and gravy served with scrambled eggs, golden hash browns and pork sausage links
Lunch
All lunches include a full salad bar
- Chicken and cheese enchiladas, seasoned Spanish rice, fresh salsa, refried beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips, Baja sauce and southwestern tortilla soup
- Grilled cheese sandwiches served with tomato soup and a fresh vegetable platter with dip
- A selection of house-made soups, specialty salads, full salad bar and a selection of breads, spreads and butter
- Chicken nuggets, mac n’ cheese and fresh vegetables
- Olive oil-rubbed and seasoned baked potato, house-made beef and vegetable chilies, steamed broccoli, cheese and sour cream toppings, hummus, pita chips and a selection of house-made soups
Dinner
All dinners include a full salad bar and dessert
- Fettuccine alfredo, pesto penne pasta with grilled chicken, cheese-stuffed shells with marinara sauce, seasoned grilled vegetables and bruschetta
- Dessert: Quadruple-chocolate brownie
- Chicken and beef fajitas served with cilantro lime rice and seasoned black beans
- Dessert: Cinnamon churros with chocolate sauce
- Pork roast, rosemary roasted red potatoes, mixed veggies and bistro rolls
- Dessert: Yellow cake with whipped cream frosting
- Meat loaf, scalloped potatoes, peas, carrots and garlic bread
- Dessert: Oatmeal chocolate chip cookie bars
- Oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and dinner rolls
- Dessert: Southern-style peach cobbler

We make every effort to support the dietary needs of our guests and can provide food items that are nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free and egg-free. We ask trip leaders to complete the food request form so that we may better serve the needs of individuals in each group. If your child has specific food allergies or sensitivities, please share that with your trip leader prior to the group’s arrival.
