How do I get to the 100 Elk Outdoor Center?
100 Elk Outdoor Center is just north of Buena Vista in the Upper Arkansas River Valley, nestled between the Mosquito Mountain Range and the Collegiate Peaks of the Sawatch Range. The Outdoor Center is up at about 9000 feet in the forested foothills just below Mt. Yale and Mt. Columbia (both 14,000 foot peaks). Click here to see a map and get directions to our facilities

What if my child has food allergies?
Notify the 100 Elk Director of your child’s special needs and we will try to accommodate them when possible. For those who have truly unique needs, you may be asked to bring supplemental food for meals.
What if my child needs to take medication?
As with regular school enrollment, the accompanying school staff or designated adults can administer medication as required.
Are emergency services provided on property?
The staff is trained in First Aid and basic emergency response care. If there is a need to take the child off property into town for additional needs, it is the responsibility of the school and chaperones to arrange for transportation.

How can my child attend youth camp in the summer?
